The Regenerate Territories Line is part of the Transform Tourism Program and aims to support projects that reinforce the tourist attractiveness of territories and add value to them, namely projects in the field of cultural and heritage tourism, among others.

Incentive Conditions

Areas of Intervention

Data capture on the territory and on tourism activity, and its conversion into information with value for organisations, public entities, businesses and tourists, including for the generation of new services for tourists;
Reducing seasonality and/or the territorial dispersion of tourist flows and improving the experience of tourists, particularly with regard to the enjoyment of tourist resources and facilities;
Intelligent mobility in the territory, including interoperability between transport, dematerialisation of procedures for purchasing and checking travel tickets;
Assessment and management of impacts on the carrying capacity of a resource, event or territory, including the carbon footprint dimension of tourist flows;
Implementation of digital-based solutions that contribute to efficient energy, water and waste management and to the decarbonisation of tourism activity.

Financing Rate

Base Rate:
- 30% non-refundable up to 150,000 euros;
Bonuses:
- 20% for low density territories and cross-border projects;
- 20% for projects that are part of collective efficiency strategies already recognised or that will be recognised by Turismo de Portugal.

Eligible Entities

Public entities, including those in whose management central government, regional and local bodies have a dominant position;
Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises;
Other private entities, namely those of an associative nature.

Eligible Costs

Infrastructure and technology implementation, including hardware and software acquisition;
Acquisition or development of systems and technology platforms that enable the provision of data in open format, as well as their automated use;
Implementation of platforms to increase interaction and collaborative connection;
Provision of professional services by third parties, including technical and scientific assistance and consultancy, for the period strictly necessary for the development of the project;
Training actions for collaborators for the development and implementation of the project;
Intervention of statutory auditors or certified external accountants.
