The Regenerate Territories Line is part of the Transform Tourism Program and aims to support projects that reinforce the tourist attractiveness of territories and add value to them, namely projects in the field of cultural and heritage tourism, among others.

Incentive Conditions

Areas of Intervention

Strengthening of the tourism activity of the territories;
Projects that, in addition to the previous characteristics, promote the development of tourism products with added value, such as cultural and heritage tourism, industrial tourism, railway tourism, sports tourism, nautical tourism, wine tourism, military tourism, literary tourism, scientific tourism, religious tourism, health tourism, gastronomic tourism and nature tourism, are privileged;
Projects that encourage decarbonised mobility or facilitate its adoption.

Financing Rate

For public companies: – 30% non-refundable up to 300,000 euros;
For private companies: – 30% divided into two categories – 15% non-refundable and 15% reimbursable, interest-free over 7 years with 2 grace periods;
Surcharges:
- 20% – Low density territories and cross-border projects;
- 20% – projects that are part of collective efficiency strategies already recognized or that will be recognized by Turismo de Portugal.

Eligible Entities

Public entities, including those in whose management central government, regional and local bodies have a dominant position;
Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises;
Other private entities, namely those of an associative nature.

Eligible Costs

Studies, projects and technical assistance, as well as external supervision of the implementation of investments, up to a maximum of 10 % of the total value of eligible expenditure;
Construction and adaptation works;
Acquisition of goods and equipments;
Acquisition of information systems, software and computer equipment to obtain analytic data;
Implementation of platforms to increase interaction and collaborative connection;
Interventions to increase physical and communicational accessibility for all;
Marketing actions aimed at commercialising the offer;
Obtaining certification in the area of sustainability, such as ISO 14001, European Union Eco-label, Green Key or EMAS – Eco-Management and Audit Scheme;
Specialised consultancy services to define the sustainability strategy to be implemented;
Intervention of external auditors or certified accountants, in the context of the project development.
